Running On Climate is Out in Canada
In the Fall of 2012, Arctic sea ice annual minimum had just hit a historic low. It was shortly after this startling news that I started following University of Victoria climate scientist Andrew Weaver in his bid to get elected to the British Columbia legislature in the Victoria riding of Oak Bay-Gordon Head.
Some 3 years later, I'm very happy to release Running On Climate across Canada. This week I sent out links to the digital copy to our Kickstarter backers and we hope to have the DVD and an international release out soon. If you are in Canada you can rent the film for C$4.99 and buy it for C$12.99*.
The 83-minute documentary is the story of Weaver's run and how other scientists are responding to climate change.
Weaver was told many times that he didn't stand a chance running for a party that had never won a seat in its 30 year history. The naysayers were proved wrong. This is an underdog story, a tale of hope for climate warriors everywhere.
The film is available across Canada on Vimeo On Demand see the link below.
